Directors Nack Y. Paek, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Paek is a certified public accountant and was President of a successful SBA service provider, Government Loan Service Corporation, which specializes in originating and servicing SBA loans for banks. Mr. Paek dissolved Government Loan Service Corporation in April 2006 in order to focus his full attention on the success of Metro City Bank. Mr. Paek obtained his B.S. degree from College of Commerce, Seoul National University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He worked for Continental Insurance Company as Director of Regional Auditing until 1980. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Paek was a sole owner of the local accounting firm of Nack Y. Paek, P.C., with its clientele being predominantly members of the Asian immigrant communities. Mr. Paek was a founding director of Summit Bank Corporation in 1987, where he served as Chairman of the Board from 1992 to 1994. He also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of Credit Policy and Asset-Liability Committees. Mr. Paek is a member of AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs. Mr. Paek also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Pan-Asian Community Services, Inc., the largest nonprofit community service organization geared to help Asian immigrants to settle and adjust in the Metro Atlanta area. William M. Hungeling, is a certified public accountant who owns his own CPA firm in Atlanta. Prior to starting his own firm, he had a distinguished career with the IRS for 14 years attaining the final position of Associate Chief of the Atlanta Appeals Office. Mr. Hungeling is active in the Georgia Society of CPAs, Brookhaven Rotary Club, and serves in various church and charitable organizations. Mr. Hungeling received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carrol University and a Masters Degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University. Sarkis Agasarkisian, has been the President and Owner of Best Jewelry Manufacturing Company since 1986. He is active in the Armenian-American community, serving as president of the association, and chair of his parish council in the Armenian Church. Mr. Agasarkisian graduated from Dallas Community College and received his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. In addition, Mr. Agasarkisian is also holding a M.S. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University and an undergraduate Computer Science degree from Georgia State University. Manolo B. Apanay, M.D., practiced in General Surgery from 1971 until 2000 with Southern Regional Medical Center, Henry Medical Center and South Fulton Medical Center. He served as the President of Clayton Fayette Henry Medical Society from 1983 to 1984; President of Filipino American Association of Greater Atlanta in 1976 and 1985; Co-founder and President of Asian Pacific American Council of Georgia in 1991; President of Philippine American Medical Association of Georgia from 1986 to 1988; Board of Advisors of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia from 1996 to 2000; Board of Directors, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce from 1985 to 1988; Board of Trustees, Clayton State University Foundation from 1995 to 2000; Board of Directors, Arts Clayton from 1996 to 2000; Vice President, National Federation Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of USA from 1996-1998; Board of Directors of a local community bank in Doraville, Georgia from 1995 to 2004. Jay Eun, has been the owner of Golden Stella, Inc., a fashion jewelry wholesaler, for the past 21 years. Mr. Eun was educated in Korea and also attended Georgia State University after serving in the Korean Army. Don T.P. Leung, is the President of an apparel company that makes private label fashions. He is a native of Hong Kong, and was educated in England. He has over 24 years of experience in the apparel industry. Feiying Lu, has been an internal controller with Imex Trading Company, a wholesale frozen foods distributor, since 1997. Ms. Lu received a Bachelor of Science degree from Shanghai University of Science and Technology. Young Park, , is the President of Fortune International Jewelry and also owns several Japanese restaurants. He is a graduate of Inha University, South Korea, with a degree in mechanical engineering. Ajit A. Patel, is the Managing Member of Amrit & Sons I, LLC, the owner and operator of a 102-room hotel in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Patel was educated in London at the City University where he graduated with honors in Economics and Accountancy. He also received a Masters Degree in Taxation from Georgia State University. Frank S. Rhee, currently serves as Financial Manager for Trends Menswear. He previously worked for the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. Mr. Rhee also served as an Assistant Controller for Manufacturers Hanover Bank in New York from 1990 to 1993. He is a graduate of New York University and Lovett High School in Atlanta. Sam Sang-Koo Shim, , is a certified public accountant and certified valuation analyst, and certified government finance manager who owns a CPA consulting firm. Mr. Shim served and retired as the Chief in the Bureau of General Accounting for the State Government of Illinois after 23 years. Mr. Shim graduated from the Business School of Seoul National University, Korea, and received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and an M.S. Degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mr. Shim is active in the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of CPA Society, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Farid Tan, , is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Metro City Bank. With over 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Tan has worked for a Malaysian bank, Bank Bumiputra Malaysia, both in Malaysia and in New York, rising to the position of Assistant General Manager before leaving in 1999 to become the Senior Credit Officer for a local community bank in Doraville, Georgia. He was President and CEO of the Bank from 2002 to 2005. Mr. Tan has vast experience of community, regional and international banking that covers financial, operations, audit, retail banking, mergers and acquisitions, loan syndication, foreign exchange trading, security investment, and portfolio management. Executive Officers Hwa Saeng Kim,, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Loan Officer of Metro City Bank. Mr. Kim has vast experiences in the financial sector. He has worked with Korea Development Bank from March 1974 to January 1991 as a Deputy General Manager, Korea Development Securities Co. Ltd. as Manager and Representative in Amsterdam Office, and Vice President, Commercial and SBA lender with a local community bank in Doraville. Mr. Kim has an MBA degree in Finance from Seoul National University and Georgia State University. |
